Bright Line Eating Plan

In this post I’m sharing the most popular topics and posts in this blog, UpBeat Living, in 2023. The topic that got the most views was my experience with the Bright Line Eating Plan. If you’re interested in reading about this eating plan, start here: My Bright Line Eating Plan Journey: Beginnings

There is a link at the bottom of the Beginnings post to follow along on the journey.

Sadly, I still struggle with my weight. I’d like to restart this eating plan, but I’m struggling with feeling too restricted and deprived. When other areas of my life are unpleasant, it’s hard to deny myself “comfort” food.

Because of my continuing struggle, I wrote two posts about weight management in 2023. Managing Weight with Chronic Illness

and The Tapping Solution for Weight Loss & Body Confidence.

Pampered Chef Mandoline Review + Flylady

Surprisingly, my review of Pampered Chef’s Mandoline was a very popular topic. My review focuses on how well it works for hand and shoulder arthritis. I still use it when I have a large amount of veggies to prep for a dish I’m making. It’s too hard to clean for small tasks. You can read it here: Review of Pampered Chef’s Mandoline

Next, Flylady’s cleaning information and inspiration was also a popular topic on my Pinterest boards, even though it is an older post. She helps me keep my apartment from turning into a dump. Check it out here: How I Keep My Home Clean & Organized with the FlyLady

That post also contains a link for a post about using her Holiday Control Journal to help mange the extra work of the holidays.

Popular Chronic Illness Posts

UpBeat Living 2023’s most popular chronic illness posts are up next. My most read chronic illness post was about medical marijuana. I’ve never used it, but my son’s experience with it inspired this post. Medical Marijuana: What You Need to Know

Another popular post on Pinterest was about coping with symptom flares after activity. This is an old post as well, but this topic is always needed for chronic illness & pain sufferers. Post Activity Flaring: Nine Coping Tips

Finally, the last chronic illness post I want to mention is on fibromyalgia medications. This topic was also popular on my Pinterest boards. Fibromyalgia Treatments: Medications

Next, my most popular mental health post was Prevent Winter Depression: Plan Ahead.

Domestic Violence Awareness: My Story and

Resources for Healing Domestic Abuse also got a lot of attention. It’s sad that there’s so much domestic abuse going on in the world, but I’m glad these posts are helping others.

Wrap-Up of UpBeat Living 2023

This past year was a very stressful one for me. Your year was probably very stressful as well. But we made it through. We are survivors. I keep telling myself that last year’s challenges have prepared me for this year’s challenges. Maybe this idea will help you, too, as you face your challenges in 2024. I hope and pray you have a great year just the same.
