Two Powerful Domestic Violence Recovery Stories

Since writing my domestic violence post last week, I’ve become aware of two posts shared by fellow chronic illness bloggers about their domestic violence experiences. They are both powerful domestic violence recovery stories that need to be heard and shared.

Pamela’s Domestic Violence Recovery Story

First up, Pamela Jesson, shares her abuse story, discusses types of abuse, and tips for leaving an abusive relationship. You can read it here.

Michelle’s Domestic Violence Recovery Story

Second, Michelle Curtis, discusses the importance of recognizing and breaking co-dependent cycles in our lives. I’ve been in denial about being co-dependent for 13 years. I think it’s way overdue to deal with this issue in my life. You can read her hard-won suggestions below.

Next, November 1st starts the annual National Novel Writing Month challenge. It’s called NaNoWriMo for short. I’ve entered this challenge to get my own domestic violence recovery story down on paper. I hope to see it in print one day. You may hear less from me this month in the way of blog posts. I’ll be working on writing 50,000 words of my rough draft. Wish me luck or say a prayer please.
