Last week I shared my online travel to Ireland and Scotland. This week I share my online travel part 2 to England, and Italy. If I had money, energy, and health, I would love to visit all four of these places. If I only had the money for one, I’d visit England. I hope these videos help to give you a break from the stress of living during a pandemic. They helped me quite a bit.
England
England has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. It’s the home of so many authors that I love. It’s the home of Dr. Who, and the Beatles. I love English accents. Also, I enjoy so many British television shows.
So, one place I would love to travel to is Liverpool, England because of the Beatles. The following two videos are about them, and their music. Here Comes The Sun is one of my favorite songs of theirs.
Liverpool, England
C.S. Lewis’ Home “The Kilns”
One of my favorite authors is C.S. Lewis who wrote The Chronicles of Narnia, The Screwtape Letters, and many others. The gardens around his home are gorgeous! This video tells a bit about how the characters and stories of The Chronicles of Narnia came about.
Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top Farm
Another famous British author is Beatrix Potter. Beatrix Potters’ story books about Peter Rabbit and the other inhabitants of her stories have enchanted me for years. All of my kiddos loved hearing these stories over and over. Her artwork was very special. So I also had to check out where she lived and wrote.
London, England
Finally, no trip to England would be complete without visiting London. This walking tour was quite interesting.
Italy
The last country I traveled to online is Italy, especially the region of Tuscany. I have had a love affair with Tuscany ever since I saw the movie Under The Tuscan Sun. The first video was created by Rick Steves. He has many travel videos to choose from. “Dolce Vita” means the “sweet life.”
The following video is a trailer for Under The Tuscan Sun. I also discovered that the movie came from a book of the same name written by an American who really did buy a run-down villa in Tuscany. She has since written many more books about her chosen country.

Italian Folk Music
Finally, no travel to Italy would be complete without some music. When I hear this music I instantly think of Italy. Enjoy!
Wrap-Up Of Online Travel Part 2
I hope you have enjoyed these online travel videos, and that they have inspired you to do some world traveling from your home. If you’ve discovered any cool places, I’d love to hear about them in the comments. Till next time, take care of yourself. Kathy
